Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, in Ohio. The role supports patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, with a 24-bed unit and a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. The unit utilizes advanced telemetry and patient lifts to enhance care.

Eligible RNs may receive up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualifying experience and $5,000 for new graduates. Rotating weekends and holidays, bi-weekly hours total 72.00 (full time).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Manage patient care with respiratory support (BiPAP, high flow O2, Trach/Vents).
• Collaborate with PCNAs, nurse interns, providers, physical/occupational therapy.
