Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West). This full-time position involves 72 bi-weekly hours with rotating weekends and holidays. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available for experienced RNs, with $5,000 for new graduates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio (Ohio RN).
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification within 6 months may be required.
• BSN preferred for higher-tier roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) with 24 beds.
• Perform EKG interpretation and monitor telemetry.
• Manage central line care and critical airway support (Bi-Pap, High Flow Oxygen, Trach/Vents).
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegating, and time management while collaborating with PCNAs, interns, providers, and therapists.
