Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio seeks a Critical Care Step Down RN for 7 West. The role involves caring for high-acuity patients in a 24-bed CCSD unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and rotating 12-hour shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a) with weekends/holidays rotation.

Required qualifications include RN licensure in Ohio, BLS, ACLS within timelines, and preferred BSN. Sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 for experienced RNs and $5,000 for new graduates are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• BLS certification (within 90 days of hire).
• ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms.
• Provide central line care and venous access management.
• Rescue BiPAP, High Flow Oxygen, Trach/Vents as needed.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
