Job summary

MetroHealth seeks an experienced RN to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) in Cleveland. You will provide bedside care on a high-acuity unit with 24 beds, supporting patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis while leveraging telemetry, EKG interpretation, and advanced respiratory support.

You will collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, and therapy teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care. A BSN is preferred; Ohio RN licensure and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry.
• Care for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, sepsis.
• Manage central lines and airway support (BiPAP, high flow, Trachs/Vents).
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, interns, providers, PT/OT.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegating, and time management.
