Job summary

MetroHealth’s Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, in Ohio, is seeking an experienced RN to deliver high-acuity care to patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. The 24-bed unit features telemetry and a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, requiring strong clinical judgment.

You will work with PCNAs, interns, and providers, utilizing bedside procedures and rescue therapies while advancing your professional development with tuition reimbursement and certification incentives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing in a high-acuity CCU/step-down unit.
• Monitor Telemetry, vents, and patient status; respond to changes.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, and rehabilitation teams to ensure safe care.
