Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West). The role supports patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA and sepsis in a 24-bed unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.

The RN will interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and assist with procedures and complex ventilatory support, while collaborating with PCNAs, interns, and physicians. Ohio licensure and BLS/ACLS completion are required or pending.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• BLS required or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing care in Critical Care Step Down Unit 7 West.
• Perform EKG interpretation and respond to critical events.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies) and manage ventilator support.
