Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on caring for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities include EKG interpretation, central line care, rescue Bi-PAP/high flow oxygen management, and assisting with bedside procedures. Eligible candidates can receive a sign-on bonus up to $10,000; new graduates may qualify for

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current ACLS certification (or obtained within 6 months).
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing on the 7 West Critical Care Step Down Unit.
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry.
• Perform central line care and airway/ventilation support (BiPAP, high flow oxygen, Trach/vents).
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
