Job summary

MetroHealth in Cleveland, OH seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step-Down Unit (7 West). You will provide specialized nursing care, interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and support ventilation for high-acuity patients.

You will collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, and therapists in a 24-bed unit, with rotating weekends and holidays and a generous sign-on bonus for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in Ohio.
• ACLS and BLS certifications as required or within specified timeframe.
• Experience in critical care or step-down is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for CCU/step-down patients with high-acuity conditions (e.g., CHF, COPD, sepsis).
• Perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and manage respiratory support (Bi-pap, high flow oxygen, Trach/Vents).
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies) and coordinate with care team.
