Advocate Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a part-time, dayshift PRN role in Charlotte, NC. The position involves delivering prescribed therapies, ventilator management, and patient education under physician orders and established protocols.

The candidate must be RRT-certified, licensed, with RRT experience preferred; Associate’s degree required, BA/BS preferred, and ACLS/BLS as applicable. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential for coordination with the care

Competenze

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.
• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy required (or equivalent).
• BA/BS or higher preferred.
• Credentialed as an RRT and state licensure required.
• Basic Life Support and advanced facility certifications required.

Mansioni

• Demonstrates knowledge in oxygen delivery and related equipment and conducts prescribed therapies.
• Administers therapies, understands purpose and effects, and performs diagnostic procedures.
• Operates and monitors ventilators and non-invasive devices; adheres to critical care duties.
• Evaluates therapies and makes recommendations on plans of care and education needs.
• Documents therapy results and communicates with the healthcare team.
• Initiates and modifies respiratory care techniques in emergencies; conducts blood sampling analyses.
• Works independently in patient areas; proficient with EMR and department interfaces.
• Follows safety guidelines and completes regulatory requirements and proficiency evaluations.
