Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy Services team in Charlotte. The role involves delivering prescribed respiratory therapies, monitoring ventilators, and ensuring patient safety and documentation in the EMR.

The ideal candidate will be an RRT with NBRC credential, state licensure, and BLS certification; advanced facility-specific certifications are preferred and beneficial for patient care in this setting.

Qualifications

• Must be credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner/Respiratory Therapist in the state.
• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers through AHA.
• Advanced certification per facility/department.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery modes and equipment; conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures.
• Administers and explains therapies; performs diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates and monitors mechanical and non-invasive ventilators; understands critical care duties.
