Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC is required.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner/Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the state of work.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required.
• Advanced certification per facility/department.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and related equipment.
• Administers and evaluates prescribed respiratory therapies.
• Performs diagnostic procedures as per policy.
• Monitors and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates therapies and makes care recommendations.
