Job summary

CMHA-CEI—Families Forward Crisis Services in Lansing, MI seeks staff to assist children in acute behavioral health crisis and their families. You will support therapists and directly intervene with youths while ensuring a safe environment across office, community, and home settings.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience with children who have severe emotional disturbances, plus valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to de-escalate crises and provide crisis intervention.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention services to children and families in crisis.
• Support therapists and interact with consumers in a short-term program.
• Transport consumers when required and maintain a safe, secure environment.
• Collect program data and participate in site, community, and home visits.
