Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to lead daily crew operations, plan tasks, and ensure safety and efficiency on the job site. You will collaborate with management to determine hiring needs, set deadlines, and enforce OSHA-compliant procedures across all crews.

You will train crew members, coordinate with property owners, and maintain records while managing costs and equipment. A valid CDL and ability to travel for storm work are required.

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adapt to field requirements and act independently.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Due to equipment capacity, weight of employee should not exceed ~300 pounds.
• Must be able to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per company policy and OSHA guidelines; conducts safety training.
• Discusses issues with property owners and coordinates access and responsibilities for work.
• Obtains oral or written permission from property owners to perform work.
• Maintains customer relations through effective completion of assigned work and crew conduct.
• May investigate minor damage and settlements as needed; reports on orders and crew performance.
• Keeps accurate records, timesheets, and reports related to crew operations.
• Controls crew costs through efficient use of manpower and methods.
• Furnishes reports on incidents, truck breakdowns, and follow-up actions.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers and safety signs to protect employees and the public.
