Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to lead daily crew operations, coordinate training, and enforce safety protocols on job sites. You will collaborate with management to determine hiring needs, deadlines, and safety standards while mentoring crew members and contractors.

The role requires a CDL, ability to drive company vehicles, and travel for storm work. The company offers a competitive wages and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Able to adapt to field requirements and work independently.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight not to exceed approximately 300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.
• Able to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving/interpreting orders.
• Conducts field training/retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies.
• Discusses with property owners issues such as access and work requirements; refers to General Foreperson.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains good customer relations through effective completion of assigned work.
• Furnishes reports of orders completed, crew time, and repairs to supervisors.
• Controls crew costs and use of people-power and methods.
• Furnishes reports on incidents, breakdowns, and follow-up.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets.
• Sets up barriers and safety measures to protect crew and public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs to tools and equipment.
• Maintains housekeeping on truck and work site.
• Ensures DOT maintenance and inspection on vehicles.
• Keeps informed on equipment and company policies.
