Illinois Credit Union League, Inc. seeks a Collector to help credit unions resolve delinquent loans while staying compliant with laws and policies. You will manage outbound/inbound calls, negotiate payment arrangements, and document activity accurately.

Skip-tracing, repossession support, and coordination with other departments ensure timely resolution. Within 12 months, you’ll pursue Certified Collectors status and complete ongoing re-certification as required.

Qualifikationen

• Strong phone presence with clear verbal and written communication.
• Detail-focused documentation and dependable follow-through.
• Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and work independently or with a team.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred; 1-3 years related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Review queues and prioritize accounts to map next steps.
• Make professional outbound/inbound contacts and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Maintain accurate, timely notes and ensure follow-ups are completed.
• Support skip-tracing, repossession and bankruptcy activity as needed.
• Coordinate with manager and other departments to protect reputation and close items.
