Job summary

Consumers Credit Union is seeking a dependable Collector to join our Lake Forest team. You will assist members in early-stage delinquency, explain payment options, and set up arrangements. A collaborative culture supports process improvements and member advocacy.

You will work in a hybrid role with onsite and remote days, and contribute to a team focused on service, accuracy, and positive resolutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of banking, financial services, customer service or collections experience; 4+ years preferred.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with members about past-due payments via inbound and outbound calls.
• Explain options and establish appropriate payment arrangements.
• Educate members on online banking and payment tools.
• Manage early-stage delinquent accounts across auto loans, credit cards, and HELOCs.
• Document conversations, status, and collection activity accurately.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and meet goals.
