Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Rental Credit Specialist to analyze credit worthiness across Rental, National Rental and FMG customer portfolios. This role provides value-added analysis, recommendations and process improvements to support sales growth while mitigating risk.

You will review credit requests, analyze financial statements and communicate risk with management to determine proper credit lines and actions. Requires strong MS Office skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting or 3 years equivalent business work experience.
• Two (2) years or more experience in commercial credit.
• Two (2) years or more experience in financial statement analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works with Rental, National Rental, and FMG sales group on credit requests on new customers and increased credit lines for existing customers.
• Assist Lease analyst in initial review of lease assignments handling preliminary credit review for assignee/assignor and obtaining Ryder documentation.
• Reviews credit reports, Ryder and company history, and financial statements.
• Performs review on customer to determine deterioration of credit worthiness and re-evaluate exposure and credit line with action plan to reduce rentals if needed.
• Communicates to stop loss, collections, sales and operations on high risk accounts by email or conference calls.
