Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Rental Credit Specialist to analyze credit worthiness and risk across Rental, National Rental and FMG customers.

You will provide business recommendations to support sales growth while mitigating risk and handling multiple product lines. The role involves reviewing credit requests, analyzing financial statements, and determining appropriate credit lines with action plans to reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting or 3 years equivalent business work experience.
• Two (2) years or more experience in commercial credit.
• Two (2) years or more experience in financial statement analysis preferred.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Works with Rental, National Rental, and FMG sales group on credit requests on new customers and increased credit lines for existing customers.
• Assist Lease analyst in initial review of lease assignments handling preliminary credit review for assignee/assignor and obtaining Ryder documentation.
• Reviews credit reports, Ryder and company history, and financial statements.
• Performs review on customer to determine deterioration of credit worthiness and re-evaluate exposure, determining proper credit line and action plan.
• Communicates to stop loss, collections, sales and operations on problem or high risk accounts by e-mail or conference calls.
• Verify all critical documentation & security is received from customer (ACH amendment, cash deposits, ILOCs, guarantees, etc.).
• Assist daily with Credit Hold Mailbox reviewing emails to ensure proper information is given.
