Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Rental Credit Specialist to analyze credit worthiness across Rental, National Rental and FMG accounts.

You will review credit reports, financial statements and assess risk to support sales growth while mitigating potential losses. You will prepare credit recommendations, determine appropriate credit lines, and communicate decisions to cross-functional teams including sales, collections and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting or 3 years equivalent business work experience.
• Two (2) years or more experience in commercial credit.
• Two (2) years or more experience in financial statement analysis preferred.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data; complete spreads, analyzing trends and assess credit risks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work with customers and Sales.

Responsibilities

• Review credit requests on new customers and increased credit lines.
• Review financial statements and credit reports to assess risk.
• Determine credit exposure and action plans to reduce rentals if needed.
• Communicate risk and credit decisions to loss prevention, sales and operations.
• Assist with daily credit hold mailbox and documentation verification.
