Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Rental Credit Specialist to analyze creditworthiness across Rental, National Rental and FMG groups, providing recommendations to support sales while mitigating risk.

Responsibilities include reviewing credit reports and financial statements, determining credit lines, and coordinating with loss prevention, collections, sales and operations to address high‑risk accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting or 3 years equivalent business work experience.
• Two (2) years or more experience in commercial credit.
• Two (2) years or more experience in financial statement analysis preferred.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data; create spreads and assess credit risks.
• Strong communication skills with internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Works with Rental, National Rental, and FMG sales group on credit requests on new customers and increased credit lines for existing customers
• Assist Lease analyst in initial review of lease assignments handling preliminary credit review for assignee/assignor and obtaining Ryder documentation
• Reviews credit reports, Ryder and company history, and financial statements
• Determines the proper credit line and action plan to reduce rentals if needed
• Communicates to stop loss, collections, sales and operations on high risk accounts by e-mail or conference calls
• Verify all critical documentation & security is received from customer
• Assist daily with Credit Hold Mailbox reviewing emails
