Job summary

Michaels Wake Forest, NC seeks an Event Coordinator to plan and deliver in-store events, including children’s parties, while delivering friendly customer service. You’ll guide guests, manage event logistics, and coordinate with store teams to ensure smooth operations and a fun, safe experience.

You will assist with checkouts, rewards enrollments, and omni-channel processes, contributing to a positive customer journey and the store’s brand promises.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants, perform face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Handle administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs; create backup plans as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events; maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
