Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Durham, NC is seeking an in-store Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate and facilitate events, including kids’ birthday parties, delivering a fun, stress-free and engaging guest experience.

You will assist customers, help them locate products, and provide fast, friendly checkout while supporting omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS). Also, you’ll uphold store recovery, safety standards, and daily cleanliness to keep the shopping environment welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in-store, including children’s birthday parties.
• Engage clients of all ages with fun and creative environments.
• Demonstrate crafts and supervise activities (e.g., face painting).
• Facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Assist customers in locating products and provide fast checkout.
• Support Omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS).
• Handle truck unloading, stocking, and planogram tasks.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; adhere to SOPs.
