Job summary

Michaels is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate and execute in-store events, including kids’ birthday parties, while delivering friendly customer service and guiding shoppers. You’ll handle checkout tasks, stock duties, and implement add-ons to enhance guest experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will engage customers, enroll them in rewards programs, support omni-channel processes, and maintain store standards. Previous retail/event experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience and assist customers with purchases.
• Engage customers on rewards programs and enroll them in Private Label Credit Cards.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking and planogram processes.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards; set up and break down events.
