CraneWorks/RentalWorks in Birmingham, AL is seeking a qualified Crane Operator to lead lifts on active construction sites. You will supervise Oilers, Assist Teams, and Signal Persons, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and pre-lift checks.

The role demands strong communication and the ability to operate cranes under various conditions. Requirements include a High School Diploma, 2+ years of industry experience, and relevant certifications such as NCCCO, CDL Class A, and OSHA 10.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI crane standards is required.
• Clear oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Pass drug test and background check.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and boom trucks safely and efficiently.
• Supervise Oilers, Assist Team Leaders, and Signal Persons.
• Ensure job site safety and pre-lift inspections are performed.
• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions promptly.
• Coordinate with rigger and fellow crew to execute lifts within load limits.
• Maintain continuous in-voice/signal communication during lifts.
