The role requires operation of cranes and boom trucks, adherence to lock-out/tag procedures, and rigorous pre-lift and daily inspections in varying weather conditions. Experience and certifications are essential for site leadership.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA Regulations and ANSI Standards in crane operations
• Proficient in oral and written communication skills
• Pass drug test, background, and medical check
• Daily and monthly equipment inspections

Responsibilities

• Operate crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Reports to Branch Manager and supervises Oiler, Assist Team Leader, and Signal Persons
• Ensure personal safety and safety of co-workers
• Participate in safety meetings and uphold safety culture
• Perform pre-lift inspections and ensure lifting gear is inspected
• Ensure lifts are within load limits and rigging is correct
• Maintain communication with rigging staff during lifts
• Capable of operating a man-lift safely
• Assist with rigging procedures as directed by the rigger
