Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services seeks a Human Services Technician in Kerrville (CPS FBSS Unit). This role assists agency staff, provides transportation and supervision of visits, and handles clerical duties to support CPS cases.

The position requires driving, travel up to 75%, and a high school diploma with related experience. State benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans, are offered.

• Knowledge of community resources and referral options.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for clients to appointments as requested by caseworkers and unit supervisor.
• Observes and supervises parent–child visits.
• Completes forms and documents relating to client contact; data entry into IMPACT and other agency systems.
• Maintains outgoing paper/electronic appointment calendars for scheduling requests.
• Performs clerical duties (typing, filing, faxing, copying, phones).
• Promotes respect for cultural diversity among coworkers and contacts.
• Adheres to agency leave policies and attends work regularly.
