Job summary

Department of Family and Protective Services in Texas seeks a Human Services Technician to assist CPS staff in protecting children and vulnerable adults. The role includes transporting clients, supervising visits, and handling documentation in agency systems.

You will work closely with caseworkers and community partners to ensure services are delivered safely and efficiently. The position is full-time in San Angelo, involves substantial travel, and requires a valid Texas driver's license.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• One year of full-time social services, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, general office, or FPS experience.
• Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for clients to and from appointments as requested by caseworkers and unit supervisor.
• Observe and supervise parent–child visits.
• Complete forms and document client contact in agency systems (IMPACT and others).
• Maintain outgoing paper/electronic appointment calendars for scheduling requests.
• Perform clerical duties to support unit operations.
• Interact with DFPS staff, partner organizations, and the public with professionalism.
