Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) in Texas is seeking a Human Services Technician I for the CPS FBSS Unit in Aransas Pass. The position involves assisting staff, transporting clients, supervising visits, and handling clerical duties in a fast-paced protective services environment.

Salary ranges $3,007.34–$3,946.25 monthly, with full benefits including health, retirement, and paid leave. Travel up to 75% and regular full-time status apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of full-time social services, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, or FPS experience.
• Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university may substitute experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for clients to appointments as requested by caseworkers.
• Observe/supervise parent and child visits.
• Complete forms and document client contact in agency systems.
• Maintain appointment calendar for scheduling requests by caseworkers/supervisor.
• Perform clerical duties such as typing, filing, faxing, and answering calls.
• Promote respect for cultural diversity in all work-related contacts.
• Attend work regularly per agency policy.
