Job summary

Dept of Family & Protectve Svc in Texas is seeking a Human Services Technician to assist CPS workers by transporting clients, documenting services, and supervising visits between parents and children. You will perform clerical duties and coordinate with caseworkers to support protective services efforts.

Ranked as a full-time, nonexempt role, this position requires travel up to 75% and holds a schedule that may include nonstandard hours.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• One-year full-time social services, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, general office, or FPS experience.
• Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for clients to appointments as requested by caseworkers/supervisor.
• Observe or supervise parent-child visits.
• Complete forms and document client contact in agency systems.
• Maintain outgoing appointment calendars for scheduling requests.
• Perform clerical duties (typing, filing, faxing, answering calls).
• Respect cultural diversity among coworkers and contacts.
• Attend work regularly according to policy.
