Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in Arlington, TX is seeking a full-time Human Services Technician to support CPS investigations and protective services. The role includes transporting clients, supervising visits, and handling documentation for the unit.

The position emphasizes coordination with staff and community partners, and requires frequent travel within the region. Eligible candidates will provide reliable transportation and meet the basic education requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Child Protective Services is required to support CPS investigations and protective services.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and to follow instructions.
• Ability to work with others and supervise visits between parents and children.
• Proficiency with a personal computer and basic office software is expected.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time to homes and offices within and outside the region.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for clients to appointments as assigned by caseworkers.
• Observe and supervise parent and child visits in accordance with case plans.
• Complete forms and documentation including data entry into IMPACT and agency systems.
• Maintain scheduling calendars for caseworkers and supervisors.
• Perform clerical duties and support unit operations as needed.
• Foster cultural diversity and professionalism in all contacts.
