Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is seeking a CPS Family Based Safety Services Worker (FBSS) to support families after investigations. The role focuses on protecting children from abuse or neglect by delivering services, assessing risk, and coordinating with families and community resources.

New hires with a Master’s in Social Work may qualify for higher starting pay. This full-time, non-telework position travels up to 75% and is based in Wichita Falls, TX.

Formación

• Responds quickly in crisis situations.
• Provides time-limited in-home services to meet the specific needs of families by identifying insufficient protective capacities, developing treatment plans, and using resources.
• Assesses child safety and takes actions to protect the child.
• Interacts objectively with caretakers who have abused/neglected children.
• Promotes culturally competent practice and works with law enforcement, court, and community resources.
