Job summary

Confidential in Pittsburgh, PA seeks an experienced Controller / Accounting Manager (CPA) to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. You will supervise daily accounting activities and drive accurate month-end and year-end closes.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong technical accounting expertise, and ability to manage accounting teams in a fast-paced environment. CPA preferred and ERP/QuickBooks experience desirable.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervision.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing audits, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and bookkeeping functions, including reconciliations.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns and ensure compliance.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Communicate financial results to leadership.
