This hands‑on role requires clear ownership of the accounting operations within a lean, entrepreneurially minded organization. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, mentor staff, prepare financial reports, and support day‑to‑day financial operations while driving improvements in systems

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to quickly learn new accounting and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in monthly, quarterly and annual close and financial reporting for ownership, lenders and clients.
• Maintain integrity of accounting records, general ledger and reporting systems.
• Supervise AR, AP and general accounting functions with day-to-day support.
• Review bank reconciliations and assist with treasury activities, financing and debt administration.
• Coordinate annual tax return prep, year-end workpapers and depreciation reporting with outside CPA firms.
• Oversee payroll processing and employee benefit accounting.
• Prepare operating budgets and assist with forecasting and capital planning.
• Monitor financial performance and provide timely reporting to ownership.
• Collaborate with property management on tenant billing and operating expenses.
