Job summary

UpRecruit seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead key accounting operations and help develop the finance function in Scottsdale, AZ. This hands-on leadership role combines technical accounting, month-end close, team management, and process improvement.

You will oversee the general ledger, close processes, AP, and internal controls, while driving accuracy and efficiency across the organization. CPA is preferred; 7+ years of progressive accounting experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP, general ledger, close, and internal-controls knowledge.
• Experience reviewing accounting work prepared by staff.
• Strong Excel and systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger and day-to-day accounting activities.
• Manage portions of the close process and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee AP and other assigned accounting functions.
• Maintain strong accounting controls and processes.
• Support financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members.
• Partner with other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
