Job summary

The Twelfth Judicial Circuit in Sarasota County is seeking an IT Professional I to support end-user computing and courtroom infrastructure, including PCs, mobile devices, printers, and software provisioning. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, accurate documentation, and onboarding/offboarding tasks.

You will collaborate with county IT staff and court personnel to ensure uninterrupted operations, provide direct in-courtroom assistance, and help manage hardware lifecycle and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Progressively responsible professional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required degree.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, cell phones, printers, copiers, and essential peripheral components.
• Resolve Help Desk inquiries in person, by phone, email, or ticketing system in a timely and professional manner.
• Document diagnostics and resolutions in the Help Desk knowledge base for tracking and optimization.
• Install, configure, and update standard business software including Microsoft 365 apps and court applications.
• Serve as the primary technical lead for user onboarding and offboarding, hardware staging, and account setups.
• Coordinate installation of applications from external IT departments onto Circuit workstations.
• Provide direct in-courtroom technical assistance to judges, attorneys, and staff.
• Manage daily operation and reliability of courtroom systems and A/V equipment.
• Maintain and update hardware/software inventory databases across records.
• Execute secure hardware disposal per regulations and policies.
• Analyze data and produce reports for multi-year hardware refresh plans.
• Deliver hands-on training to Circuit employees on end-user hardware and software.
