Job summary

Sawyer County is seeking an experienced County Administrator to lead a full-service county government committed to excellent services and responsible leadership. This is an outstanding opportunity to guide the county in partnership with the County Board and community partners.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, finance or a related field (master’s preferred) with at least six years of progressive leadership in county government.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in public or business administration, finance, or a related field.
• At least six years of progressive administrative/leadership experience in county or municipal government.
• Ability to collaborate with the County Board, department heads, employees, municipalities, and community partners.

• Executive Leadership: provide visionary leadership and collaborative decision-making.
• Budget & Finance: ensure sound fiscal management and transparency.
• Strategic Planning: develop and implement strategic initiatives.
