Job summary

Grant County is seeking a County Manager to serve as the Chief Administrative Officer, appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The role leads a workforce of ~185 and a $26M operating budget, driving policy direction, transparency, and collaborative partnerships to improve residents' lives.

The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership, strategic planning, fiscal stewardship, and effective intergovernmental relations in a demanding public-sector environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Policy, Finance, Political Science, Organizational Leadership or related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible executive or senior leadership in a public-sector org with budgeting, personnel administration and strategic planning.
• Bachelor’s degree with six years of executive leadership or ten years of equivalent leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and administrative direction for all County operations.
• Implement policies and directives established by the Board of County Commissioners.
• Establish organizational goals, objectives, priorities, and performance measures.
• Foster a culture of integrity, professionalism, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee annual operating budget and strategic planning.
• Engage in intergovernmental relations and grant administration.
