Job summary

Sawyer County is seeking an experienced County Administrator to lead a full-service county government committed to excellent services and responsible leadership. This is an outstanding opportunity to guide the county in partnership with the County Board and community partners.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, finance or a related field (master’s preferred) with at least six years of progressive leadership in county government.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in public or business administration, finance, or a related field.
• At least six years of progressive administrative/leadership experience in county or municipal government.
• Ability to collaborate with the County Board, department heads, employees, municipalities, and community partners.

The County Administrator works in partnership with the County Board, department heads, employees, municipalities, and community partners to protect and enhance the quality of life for all who live, work, and visit Sawyer County.

Well-qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in public/business administration, finance or a related field, at least six years of progressively responsible administrative/leadership experience in county or municipal government, or a combination of training, experience, and administrative ability that demonstrates the candidate’s ability to perform the duties of the position successfully.
