Job summary

Hall County Government is seeking a County Administrator to serve as the chief executive officer, reporting to a five‑member Board of Commissioners. The role oversees all departments, directs budget development, and ensures effective coordination across intergovernmental entities to deliver public services.

The candidate will lead long-range planning, guide policy discussions, and manage high-level initiatives with emphasis on transparency, efficiency, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred) in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field.
• Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible management experience.
• Working knowledge of public financial administration and procurement; experience with capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-range goals and plans for the County; prepare annual work plan and reports.
• Direct agenda development and guide Commissioners on issues of government and public concern.
• Oversee Administrative staff and department directors, including performance evaluations and staffing decisions.
• Direct and facilitate inter-departmental activities for maximum efficiency.
• Direct budget preparation and guide the Commission's budget review and adoption process.
