Ferguson Enterprises, LLC is seeking a knowledgeable Counter Sales Associate to support plumbing and HVAC contractor customers. You will use product expertise to advise on purchases, upsell strategically, and ensure timely, accurate transactions.

The role emphasizes relationship-building and proactive problem-solving to align with Ferguson's sales strategy. The position involves engaging customers at the counter, on the phone, and via email, while collaborating with Outside Sales to grow

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in customer service or sales preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in plumbing/HVAC or related industry strongly preferred.
• Sales mindset with ability to meet goals and influence purchasing decisions.
• Strong communication skills for consultative selling and engagement.
• Digital literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsabilités

• Engage customers at the counter, on the phone, and via email to understand needs and recommend solutions.
• Serve as a product expert in plumbing, HVAC and related products to guide decisions.
• Drive sales growth by upselling, cross-selling, and promoting programs.
• Use catalogs, computer systems, and manufacturer databases to locate parts and provide information.
• Process transactions accurately while delivering a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales Associates to support account growth.
• Manage special orders and monitor status, back-orders, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain a professional counter environment and assist with inventory management.
