The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of supervisory experience, preferably in corrugated. Lift truck certification may be required; strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years prior supervisory experience.
• Preferred: prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
• May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management; communicate standards to staff.
• Report quality concerns; assist in determining quality guidelines.
• Build engagement and maintain high morale within the department.
• Manage inventories of rollstock and corrugator supplies.
• Coordinate with supervisor and Maintenance Superintendent on repairs or preventive maintenance.
• Keep upper management informed of problems affecting department performance.
• Enforce corrective action procedures and conduct related meetings.
• Conduct weekly Production/Safety meetings with staff.
• Communicate with supervision to avoid inter-department issues.
• Improve career skills via seminars and courses.
• Implement and uphold company safety, housekeeping, and policies.
