Job summary

Pratt Industries in United States, Ohio seeks a production supervisor to oversee approximately 2–40 employees in daily corrugated production, aiming for quality, safety, and efficiency.

You will train staff, manage quality standards, report issues to plant leadership, supervise safety meetings, and coordinate with maintenance. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of supervisory experience; corrugated industry experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Two years of supervisory experience required.
• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management. Communicate these standards to staff.
• Report quality concerns to Converting and Plant Superintendent. Assist in determining quality guidelines.
• Establish high morale within the department by showing fairness, consistency, and an interest in employee problems.
• Maintain inventories of sheets, inks and other converting supplies.
• Coordinate with supervisor and Maintenance Superintendent on repairs or preventive maintenance.
• Keep upper management informed of problems or situations affecting department performance.
• Enforce corrective action procedures and conduct meetings with violators.
• Conduct weekly Production/Safety meetings with departmental personnel.
• Communicate with supervision to avoid problems between shift changes.
• Improve career skills by enrolling in seminars and related college courses.
• Implement, maintain, and support all company policies including safety and housekeeping.
