Job summary

Elior North America, in partnership with Summit, is seeking an experienced cook supervisor to lead a corrections dining team at the Jackson County Detention Center in Mississippi. The role focuses on coordinating staff, ensuring meal service starts on time, and maintaining high kitchen standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will train and supervise cooks, enforce sanitation, and uphold scratch cooking practices while delivering friendly, reliable service to inmates and staff.

Qualifications

• At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with scratch cooking.
• Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising a team and providing guidance to cooks.
• Ability to deliver friendly, helpful customer service.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and train staff in food service and sanitation to ensure meal services begin on time and that portions, appearance and temperature meet quality standards.
