Summit is seeking an experienced cook supervisor for our Hernando, MS correctional facility kitchen. You will coordinate and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes training, food safety, portion control, and maintaining high-quality meals for inmates, with strong leadership and multitasking required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with scratch cooking emphasis.
• Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising a team and providing guidance to staff.

Responsibilities

• Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring timely meals and high-quality portions, appearance and temperature.
