Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook to join our Gardner, KS kitchen team supporting the correctional division. You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preparing meals and ensuring quality and portion control.

This full-time, onsite role requires scratch cooking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. You will follow recipes and food safety procedures while delivering high-quality meals to inmates and staff.

Qualifications

• At least one year of prior culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with emphasis on scratch cooking.
• Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify food items.
• Customer service experience is required.
