Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook for our Gardner, KS correctional division kitchen. You will join a motivated team to prepare meals in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality service.

You will be responsible for quality and portion control, food preparation, creative presentation, and maintaining the kitchen. Additionally, you will ensure proper storage and strict adherence to safety policies and recipes.

Qualifications

• At least one year's prior culinary experience in a quality, high-volume establishment with emphasis on scratch cooking.
• Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools and differentiate food items.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Nice-to-have: Food handlers' certification.
