Job summary

Summit in Gardner, KS is seeking an experienced cook to join a fast-paced kitchen in our correctional division. You will work with a motivated team to prepare high-quality meals and ensure food safety through proper handling and portion control.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of scratch-cooking experience in a high-volume setting, strong knowledge of culinary methods, and solid multitasking and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• At least one year’s prior culinary experience in a quality, high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking.
• Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools and identify/differentiate food items.
• Customer service experience is required.
