Job summary

Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction in Lebanon, OH, is seeking a Correction Records Management Officer BORM to review inmate records for compliance with sex offender registration laws and DNA testing requirements. The role operates with law enforcement computer systems and supports transmittal of confidential information.

The position involves advising on detainers, coordinating court transports, and maintaining records via OnBase and DOTS Portal.

Qualifications

• Experience in records management including retention, confidentiality.
• Knowledge of sex offender registration laws and DNA testing requirements.
• Ability to operate law enforcement systems (LEADS, Offender Watch).

Responsibilities

• Review inmate records for compliance with sex offender registration and DNA testing requirements.
• Operate LEADS and related law enforcement computer systems to receive and transmit confidential information.
• Research LEADS for pending warrants and detainers; notify inmates of detainers and prepare necessary documentation.
• Authorize inmate releases to temporary custody under TAD; use DOTS Portal as needed.
• Maintain inmate records in OnBase and update DOTS Portal with status codes.
• Liaise between institution staff and law enforcement to schedule court transports.
• Attend meetings and trainings; provide verbal and written responses as needed.
