Job summary

Sterling St James Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Manager for a fully remote role.

Candidates must reside on the East Coast and hold a New York State Property and Casualty license, with familiarity of the down-state NY commercial insurance marketplace. The ideal candidate will service commercial clients, market new and renewal business, and collaborate with markets to optimize coverage and pricing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of insurance brokerage experience.
• Experience servicing commercial clients and knowledge of commercial markets.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
• Capable of working in a team environment.
• Current NYS Property and Casualty license.
• AMS 360 software knowledge/experience is required.

Responsibilities

Commercial Insurance Account Manager Position Description

This is is a fully and permanently remote position. Candidates can reside anywhere on the East Coast but must have a New York State Property and Casualty License and be familiar with the down-state New York commercial insurance marketplace.

Regional brokerage / insurance agency looking for an experienced commercial account manager. They provide a full range of insurance coverage and benefits programs offered by more than 30 national carriers.

Responsibilities

• Increasing current coverage or adding new coverage to the firm’s existing book of business.
• Marketing new and renewal business
• Positive consistent interaction with clients and markets
• Prepare renewal and new business applications & proposals
• Identify exposure and recommend appropriate solutions
• Remarket existing business and negotiate with underwriters
• Provide day to day client service

Qualifications

Compensation

Base salary up to $95,000 – commensurate with relevant skill set and experience.
