Job summary

Roche Holding AG is seeking a Field Engineering Specialist in McAllen, TX to service Roche core lab product lines across the Rio Grande Valley. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain systems, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

The role involves on-site service, preventive maintenance, and frequent travel up to 50%. Onboarding at the Indianapolis headquarters and professional growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years of technical training or equivalent.
• 5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking OR a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 1-2 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking.
• Successfully training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
• Ability to travel, including some overnight travel, is required.

Responsibilities

• Showcase expertise in technical repair for Roche assigned product lines.
• Offer valuable service to laboratory customers in assigned territory.
• Provide routine technical support, on-site service and repair of Roche products.
• Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
• Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and maximize customer satisfaction.
